2016 Space Caviar
Space Caviar is an architecture and research studio operating at the intersection of design,technology, politics and the public realm. Founded in 2014 by Joseph Grimaand Tamar Shafrir, the office uses built work, exhibitions, publishing, writing and film to investigate and document contemporary modes of habitation and the spatialisation of social and political practice. Space Caviar’s work has been shown at the Venice Architecture Biennale, theVictoria and Albert Museum, Biennale Interieur, Vitra Design Museum and the Munich Film Museum, among others.
2017 University College London-Shaun Teo
A geographer by training, Shaun Teo is a researcher concerned with ‘critical pragmatism’ in planning and urbanism, which is the non-zero sum approach of being both hopeful and practical in practices of urban transformation. He is also a strong advocate for pedagogical urbanism, which he sees in the work of Future+ in Shenzhen. Shaun is affiliated with the Departments of Geography at University College London and the National University of Singapore. He publishes actively from his research, in international peer reviewed journals such as Antipode and Urban Geography.
2017 Hello Shenzhen
In March, 2017, cooperated with British Council, we hosted Master Degree students in Product Design of Royal College of Art Katrine Hesseldahland and Victor Strimfors to work on a new model for sustainable distributed manufacturing of products.
2017 PolyU
In April, 2017, Future+ Academy hosted graduate students of Urban Planning in HK Polytechnic University to come to shenzhen and have research in Nantou Urban Village.
2017 University of Amsterdam
In April, 2017. 9 master students majored urban and regional planning and human geography from University of Amsterdam have come to Shenzhen and began their research within their residency of Future+ Academy.
2017 INDA (International Program in Design and Architecture) Chulalongkorn University
In May, 2017. A bunch of undergraduate students of INDA came to Shenzhen for a month for an international project working with Future+ Academy. INDA, the International Program in Design and Architecture, is an English language program taught within the Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
